One of the biggest debates among pop culture pundits is, "who is the best actor of this generation?" Morgan Freeman's career resume is almost twice as long as Washington's but many would argue that is far more versatile.
Fittingly, he also has one Supporting Actor Academy Award for his part in 2004's Million Dollar Baby, with several other nods to back it up.
While this is his only win, he has many nominations that prove his contention. While he seems to have similar accolades as his junior associate, Freeman's catalog is much wider. He wowed audiences in the Shawshank Redemption and Driving Miss Daisy; one a drama, the other a comedy. He also appeared in Bruce Almighty, Se7en, and Wanted, all in different movie genres.
